The Science — Simplified

What’s Actually in
the Vial?

MSCs, exosomes, Wharton’s Jelly, growth factors — patients ask about these every day. Here’s the plain-language breakdown, and why The Stem Cell Club delivers all of it together.

The Source
Wharton’s Jelly
Umbilical Cord Matrix
Contains All
MSCs · Exosomes
Growth Factors · HA · Cytokines
Delivered to You
APEX™ WJ+
The full matrix. Not fragments.

Each Component, Explained

Think of Wharton’s Jelly as the treasure chest. Everything below is what’s inside it — and why each piece matters to you.

01
The Source

Wharton’s Jelly The umbilical cord matrix

The gelatinous connective tissue that surrounds the blood vessels inside the umbilical cord. It is nature’s most concentrated depot of regenerative material — rich in living stem cells, exosomes, growth factors, hyaluronic acid, and collagen, all in their native environment together. When the APEX™ lab processes umbilical cord tissue, this is where everything comes from. Unlike synthetic or isolated products, Wharton’s Jelly delivers the complete biological system — not fragments of it.

The Stem Cell Club uses APEX™ WJ+ — sourced from the full Wharton’s Jelly matrix, not isolated byproducts.
02
The Workers

MSCs Mesenchymal Stem Cells — the living cells

The actual living cells that do the regenerative work. MSCs can differentiate into bone, cartilage, muscle, and fat tissue — and they actively signal surrounding cells to reduce inflammation and initiate repair. Think of them as the construction crew: they assess the damage and direct the rebuilding. Their power comes from being pluripotent — capable of becoming many different cell types depending on what your body needs in that moment.

APEX™ products contain >90% viable MSCs, verified by independent third-party lab analysis — not just the byproducts of dead cells.
03
The Messages

Exosomes The stem cell communication system

Nano-sized vesicles (tiny bubbles) that stem cells release as their communication system. They carry proteins, RNA, and signaling molecules that instruct nearby cells to heal, divide, or reduce inflammation — without being living cells themselves. They’re more stable than MSCs, travel easily through tissue, and are increasingly popular as standalone products. APEX™ products contain both MSCs and their exosomes — the full signal and the source.

Exosome-only products send the message. APEX™ sends the message and the messenger — together, the way the body intends.
04
The Instructions

Growth Factors Proteins that tell your cells what to do

Proteins that act like specific commands delivered to your cells — “form collagen here,” “grow blood vessels here,” “stop inflammation here.” Key growth factors include VEGF (angiogenesis), TGF-β (tissue repair), IGF-1 (cellular regeneration), and EGF (epithelial growth). They’re not a separate ingredient — they’re the mechanism by which MSCs and exosomes produce results. More growth factors in the right concentrations means more precise, targeted healing signals.

APEX™ products are quantified for growth factor concentration — they publish the data, not just the claim.
05
The Lubricant

Hyaluronic Acid The body’s built-in cushion and scaffold

A naturally occurring sugar molecule that holds up to 1,000× its weight in water. In joints, it provides cushioning and lubrication. In tissue, it creates a hydrated environment where cell repair can occur. It’s present naturally in Wharton’s Jelly — not an additive. Most people know it from skincare; it does the exact same job in joint tissue: hydration, cushioning, and biological scaffolding. Particularly valuable in orthopedic, knee, hip, and shoulder applications.

HA in APEX™ products isn’t added afterward — it’s native to the Wharton’s Jelly matrix, exactly as your body uses it.
06
The Regulators

Cytokines & Peptides The immune response network

Small proteins that regulate the immune response and control inflammation. Anti-inflammatory cytokines (like IL-10 and IL-4) calm overactive immune reactions — critical in conditions like arthritis, autoimmune disorders, and chronic pain. Peptides are short amino acid chains that serve as additional signaling molecules. Together with growth factors, they form the complete communication network that makes regenerative therapy work at the systems level — not just at the site of injury.

The healing doesn’t come from one molecule. It’s the full signaling ecosystem working in concert — which only the whole matrix provides.
“Our treatment uses the full Wharton’s Jelly matrix — nature’s most concentrated source of regenerative material. You get live stem cells, the exosomes they release, growth factors, hyaluronic acid, and cytokines — all working together the way they do in the body. Competitors sell you one piece of that puzzle. We deliver the whole system.”

How It Reaches Your Body

Two delivery methods. Each designed for different goals — often used together.

💉

IV Infusion Systemic — full-body reach

  • APEX™ WJ+ solution is administered through a standard IV drip over 60–90 minutes
  • Stem cells and exosomes enter the bloodstream and circulate throughout the body
  • They migrate toward areas of inflammation — guided by your body’s own chemical signals
  • Anti-inflammatory cytokines begin modulating immune response systemically
  • Growth factors support tissue repair, vascular health, and cellular regeneration over weeks to months
🎯

Direct Injection Targeted — site-specific repair

  • APEX™ WJ+ with BioScaf™ biological scaffolding is injected directly at the treatment site
  • BioScaf™ creates a 3D matrix that anchors stem cells in place at the injury location
  • Concentrated MSCs, growth factors, and HA work locally — not diluted through the bloodstream
  • Hyaluronic acid immediately improves joint lubrication and creates a healing environment
  • Ideal for knees, hips, shoulders, spine, and other specific orthopedic targets

Questions We Hear Every Day

Are these my own stem cells or someone else’s? +
These are allogeneic (donor-sourced) stem cells from umbilical cord Wharton’s Jelly — not your own. Umbilical cord MSCs are immunologically naive, meaning they don’t trigger rejection the way organ transplants can. The cord tissue is donated after healthy, full-term births by consenting mothers, and undergoes extensive screening and processing before use.
Is this FDA-approved? +
The APEX™ lab is FDA-registered and operates under FDA guidelines for human cell and tissue products (21 CFR Part 1271). The treatment itself is not FDA-approved in the way a drug is — stem cell therapy is an emerging field. We’re transparent about this distinction, and we’re happy to walk you through exactly what the regulatory status means before you decide.
How is this different from PRP (platelet-rich plasma)? +
PRP uses your own blood, spun down to concentrate platelets and growth factors. It’s a legitimate tool — but it contains no living stem cells, no exosomes, and no hyaluronic acid. Wharton’s Jelly MSC therapy delivers all of those components together, plus a much broader range of cytokines and signaling molecules. Many patients who’ve had limited results with PRP see better outcomes with MSC therapy.
Why does The Stem Cell Club cost so much less than other clinics? +
Most clinics price stem cell therapy at $10,000–$25,000. The markup funds sales teams, broker commissions, luxury buildouts, and aggressive advertising — not better product. We source directly from the same FDA-registered APEX™ lab, operate with transparent pricing, and pass the savings to you. Our $1,999 promotional price reflects an honest cost structure, not a compromise on quality.
How long until I feel results? +
Regenerative therapy works on a biological timeline — not a pharmaceutical one. Some patients notice changes within 2–4 weeks. For most, the meaningful improvement unfolds over 60–120 days as stem cells and growth factors do their work. Joint repair, reduced inflammation, and improved mobility often continue to progress for 6–12 months post-treatment. We’ll walk you through honest, condition-specific expectations during your consultation.
Can I see the lab reports? +
Yes. APEX™ publishes Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for every batch. These document MSC viability, sterility, and component concentrations — verified by independent labs. Ask during your consultation and we’ll show you the exact batch documentation for your treatment. This is one reason we use APEX™: the data is real and available.
