How Much Does Stem Cell Therapy Cost?

The questions everyone asks first — and the ones most clinics won’t answer upfront.

How much does stem cell therapy cost at The Stem Cell Club?
Stem cell therapy at The Stem Cell Club costs $1,999 — all inclusive. This covers your physician consultation, premium U.S.-sourced MSC stem cells (40 million cells, lab-verified potency), the IV or injection treatment, and follow-up care. There are no hidden fees, upsells, or surprise charges. We also offer an accelerated 3-treatment protocol (Stem Cell Reload) for $6,000. See our full pricing page for details.
Why is your price so much lower than other clinics?
The actual cost of premium stem cell products from certified laboratories is approximately $800–$1,200 per treatment dose. Most clinics mark that up 10–25x by adding commissioned salespeople ($2,000–$3,000), luxury facility overhead ($2,000+), broker markups ($2,000+), and massive profit margins. We eliminated those layers — not the quality. We source directly from FDA-registered labs, don’t pay sales commissions, and keep our facility focused on care, not impressions. Read our full pricing transparency breakdown.
Are there any hidden fees or upsells?
Absolutely not. $1,999 is the complete price — physician consultation, stem cells, treatment, facility costs, supplies, and follow-up guidance are all included. We don’t do “packages,” add-on fees, or pressure you into more expensive options. You’ll know the exact cost before you ever walk through our door. This is what sets us apart from clinics that hide their pricing behind “come in for a consultation.”
Does insurance cover stem cell therapy?
Most health insurance does not cover stem cell therapy yet, as it is not FDA-approved for specific conditions. However, many patients successfully use HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds for their treatments. At $1,999, our pricing is actually less than most high-deductible insurance plans would cost anyway — making it accessible without insurance coverage.
Do you offer payment plans or financing?
Contact our team at (435) 281-2999 to discuss payment options. We want stem cell therapy to be accessible and are happy to work with you on timing and arrangements. Many patients also use CareCredit or similar medical financing programs.
Is cheaper stem cell therapy lower quality?
Not at The Stem Cell Club. Our stem cells are the exact same category of premium Wharton’s Jelly-derived MSCs from FDA-registered U.S. laboratories that $15,000 clinics use. The difference isn’t quality — it’s business model. We removed the layers of unnecessary overhead (luxury real estate, commissioned salespeople, broker markups) that inflate pricing elsewhere. Think of it like buying the same TV from a warehouse store vs. a luxury boutique. Same product, different price.
How much do stem cells cost at other clinics?
Most stem cell clinics in Utah and Las Vegas charge between $10,000 and $25,000 for a single treatment. Some high-end clinics in major cities charge even more. Many of these clinics won’t tell you the price until after you sit through a consultation with a salesperson. We believe you deserve to know the price upfront. Read our full cost comparison guide.

What to Expect Before, During & After

Your treatment experience from first call to follow-up.

How does the process work from start to finish?
Step 1: Free consultation by phone or Zoom (about 15 minutes) where we discuss your situation honestly — no pressure, no sales pitch. Step 2: If approved, schedule your appointment at a time that works for you. Step 3: Come to our St. George clinic for your 1–2 hour treatment (IV or injection). Step 4: Go home same day with aftercare instructions. Most patients return every 6 months as part of their wellness plan.
How long does the actual treatment take?
The treatment itself takes 1–2 hours in our clinic. This includes a brief pre-treatment check, the IV infusion or injection procedure, and a short observation period. Most patients describe it as straightforward and comfortable. Many read, work on their phone, or just relax during the infusion.
Is the treatment painful?
Most patients report minimal discomfort — similar to a standard blood draw or IV insertion. For targeted injections into joints, some patients feel brief pressure at the injection site. Our medical team takes every precaution to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. The vast majority of patients say it was much easier than they expected.
What’s the difference between IV therapy and injections?
IV therapy delivers stem cells through your bloodstream, allowing them to circulate throughout your entire body and respond to inflammation systemically. This is our recommended approach for general wellness, autoimmune conditions, and multi-joint issues. Targeted injections deliver stem cells directly to a specific joint or area of injury, which is often preferred for isolated problems like a single knee or shoulder. During your consultation, we’ll recommend the best approach for your situation.
How long until I see results?
Results aren’t instant — stem cells work by supporting your body’s natural healing processes over time. Most patients begin noticing improvements within 2–8 weeks, with optimal results typically occurring around 3–6 months post-treatment. Some patients report feeling increased energy within the first few days. Individual results vary based on age, condition severity, and overall health.
How long do results last?
Benefits generally last 6–12 months, which is why we recommend treatments every 6 months as part of an ongoing wellness plan. Stem cell therapy is most effective as a recurring treatment — similar to how you wouldn’t go to the gym once and expect lifetime results. Our membership model is designed to make this affordable and sustainable.
What should I do after treatment?
We provide detailed aftercare instructions at your appointment. General guidelines include: stay well-hydrated, avoid strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours, avoid anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen) for 2 weeks as they can interfere with the healing process, eat a nutrient-rich diet, and get adequate rest. Most patients return to normal daily activities within a day or two.
Can I drive myself home after treatment?
Yes. Most patients drive themselves home after treatment without any issues. The procedure doesn’t involve sedation or anesthesia that would impair driving ability. If you’re traveling from Las Vegas (90 minutes) or Salt Lake City, many patients make it a same-day trip without problems.
How many treatments do I need?
It depends on your goals. Many patients see meaningful results from a single treatment and return every 6 months for maintenance. For accelerated support — especially for more severe conditions or when you want faster results — our Stem Cell Reload protocol includes 3 treatments within 30 days (120 million MSCs total). During your consultation, we’ll recommend the approach that makes the most sense for your specific situation.

Understanding What You’re Actually Getting

The science behind stem cell therapy — explained clearly, without the hype.

What are mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs)?
MSCs are multipotent cells that function as repair coordinators in your body. They don’t replace damaged tissue directly — they work through paracrine signaling, secreting growth factors, cytokines, and anti-inflammatory molecules that tell your body to heal. Think of them as “project managers, not construction workers.” Our MSCs come from donated umbilical cord tissue (Wharton’s Jelly) after healthy births. Read our complete MSC guide for more.
Where do your stem cells come from?
Our stem cells come from donated umbilical cord tissue (Wharton’s Jelly) collected after healthy, full-term births. No embryos are involved — no harm, no invasive harvesting. Donor mothers are carefully screened with full medical history reviews. We use exclusively U.S.-sourced products from FDA-registered laboratories with non-vaccinated donors, third-party potency testing, and proper cold-chain integrity. Learn more about our stem cell product.
What’s in the stem cell IV besides stem cells?
Your IV contains 5 key components that work together: 1) Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) — the core repair coordinators; 2) Exosomes — tiny communication packets carrying repair instructions; 3) Growth Factors — natural signaling proteins supporting tissue repair; 4) Hyaluronic Acid — protects cells and supports joint health; 5) Wharton’s Jelly — the natural anti-inflammatory matrix. Nothing synthetic, nothing artificial.
Why umbilical cord stem cells instead of my own?
As we age, our own stem cell count and effectiveness drop significantly. A newborn has roughly 1 stem cell per 10,000 cells, while at age 50 that drops to about 1 per 400,000. Umbilical cord-derived MSCs are young, highly active, and plentiful — which is why they’re often preferred, especially for people over 40 or those dealing with chronic inflammation. They also avoid the need for invasive bone marrow or fat extraction procedures.
How many stem cells are in each treatment?
Each standard treatment contains approximately 40 million MSCs, verified through third-party lab testing before your treatment. Our accelerated Stem Cell Reload protocol delivers 120 million MSCs over three treatments within 30 days. Cell count matters, and we believe you deserve to know exactly what you’re getting — unlike clinics that won’t disclose their cell counts.
What are MUSE stem cells?
MUSE cells (Multilineage-Differentiating Stress-Enduring cells) are a rare subpopulation within MSCs discovered in 2010 by Dr. Mari Dezawa. They’re considered next-generation stem cells because they combine pluripotent-like regenerative power with an exceptional safety profile — they’re non-tumorigenic, can survive harsh conditions, and naturally home to damaged tissue. MUSE cells represent an exciting advancement in regenerative medicine. Learn more on our MUSE Stem Cells page.
Is stem cell therapy FDA approved?
Stem cell therapy is not currently FDA-approved for the treatment of specific diseases or conditions. We are always transparent about this. However, the stem cell products we use are sourced from FDA-registered laboratories and are minimally manipulated per FDA guidelines (21 CFR Part 1271). Our clinic operates in full compliance with all federal and state regulations for regenerative medicine. We believe honest communication matters more than marketing claims.

Is Stem Cell Therapy Safe?

Your safety is our priority. Here’s what the evidence says.

Is stem cell therapy safe?
When properly sourced, tested, and administered under physician supervision, MSC stem cell therapy has a strong safety profile supported by hundreds of clinical studies published in peer-reviewed journals. Our stem cells undergo rigorous screening and third-party testing. Every treatment is personally overseen by our Medical Director, Andrea Montana, MSN, APRN. We follow strict protocols for sourcing, storage, and administration. Visit our stem cell research page for published studies.
What are the side effects of stem cell therapy?
Most patients experience minimal side effects. The most commonly reported include: mild soreness at the IV or injection site, temporary fatigue or mild flu-like symptoms for 24–48 hours (as your body responds to the new cells), and occasional headache. These are generally mild and resolve on their own. Serious complications are rare when treatment is administered by qualified medical professionals using properly sourced products.
Can stem cells cause cancer or tumors?
Adult mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from umbilical cord tissue are non-tumorigenic — they have inherently low telomerase activity, which means they don’t replicate uncontrollably. This is different from embryonic stem cells, which historically raised tumor concerns. Hundreds of clinical studies have demonstrated the safety profile of umbilical cord-derived MSCs with no reported tumor formation. This is one of the key reasons we use this specific source.
Who administers the treatment?
Every treatment at The Stem Cell Club is administered under the direct oversight of our Medical Director, Andrea Montana, MSN, APRN. Andrea personally oversees every procedure to ensure safety and proper technique. Our IV infusion specialists are trained specifically in regenerative medicine protocols. You’re not handed off to a medical assistant — you receive physician-level care throughout your entire visit.
Who should NOT get stem cell therapy?
Stem cell therapy may not be appropriate for everyone. During your free consultation, we evaluate your full medical history. Conditions that may make you ineligible include: active cancer or cancer treatment, current infections, pregnancy, blood-clotting disorders, and certain autoimmune conditions in active flare. If we determine stem cell therapy isn’t right for you, we’ll tell you honestly — we’d rather refer you elsewhere than recommend something that won’t help.
How do I know your stem cells are real and high-quality?
Unlike many clinics that won’t tell you what’s in their product, we’re fully transparent. Our quality safeguards include: 100% U.S.-sourced from FDA-registered laboratories, third-party potency testing confirming cell count before every treatment, non-vaccinated donors with full screening, proper cold-chain integrity maintained from lab to treatment, and Certificates of Analysis available for your treatment vial. We believe you deserve to know exactly what you’re getting.

Can Stem Cells Help With My Condition?

Results vary by person. Here’s what patients come to us for.

What conditions can stem cell therapy help with?
Patients come to us for a wide range of conditions including: joint pain (knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, ankles), osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, back pain and disc issues, sports injuries (torn ligaments, tendons, muscle damage), autoimmune inflammation, neuropathy, and general wellness and longevity. Results vary by person and condition. We never guarantee outcomes — we provide honest expectations during your consultation.
Can stem cells help with knee pain?
Knee pain is one of the most common reasons patients seek stem cell therapy. Whether from osteoarthritis, meniscus damage, ligament injuries, or general wear and tear, MSC therapy supports your body’s natural healing and inflammation-reduction processes in the knee joint. Many patients report significant improvement in pain, mobility, and quality of life. Some have been able to delay or avoid knee replacement surgery. Individual results vary. Learn more about arthritis treatment.
Can stem cells help with back pain?
Many patients with chronic back pain, disc degeneration, sciatica, and spinal issues seek stem cell therapy as a non-surgical option. IV stem cell therapy delivers anti-inflammatory and regenerative support systemically, which can be particularly beneficial for back conditions that involve widespread inflammation. Results vary, and stem cell therapy isn’t a replacement for structural spinal surgery when that’s medically necessary. Learn more about back pain treatment.
Can stem cells help with sports injuries?
Athletes — from weekend warriors to elite competitors — frequently use stem cell therapy to support recovery from sports injuries including tendon damage, ligament tears, muscle strains, and repetitive motion injuries. MSC therapy supports the body’s natural repair processes and may help accelerate recovery timelines. Many professional athletes have publicly shared their positive experiences with stem cell therapy. Learn more about sports injury recovery.
Can stem cells help with anti-aging and longevity?
Many patients use stem cell therapy as part of their proactive wellness strategy. As we age, our body’s stem cell count and effectiveness decline dramatically. IV stem cell therapy helps restore the biological signals your body used to have — supporting inflammation balance, cellular repair, immune function, and overall vitality. This is why we recommend treatments every 6 months: making stem cells part of your ongoing wellness routine, not a one-time emergency fix.
Am I too old for stem cell therapy?
There’s no strict age cutoff for stem cell therapy. In fact, older patients are often the ones who benefit most because their own stem cell reserves are most depleted. We treat patients in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond. During your consultation, we’ll evaluate your overall health and medical history to determine if stem cell therapy is appropriate. Age alone is not a disqualifying factor.
Is stem cell therapy a cure?
No — and we’ll never claim it is. Stem cell therapy is not a cure for any disease or condition. It’s a supportive treatment that works with your body’s natural healing processes to reduce inflammation, support tissue repair, and promote recovery. We believe in honest communication: we’ll tell you what stem cells can reasonably do, what they can’t do, and whether they make sense for your specific situation. Beware of any clinic that promises “cures” or “miracles.”
