🎯 Targeted Site Delivery
🇺🇸 U.S.-Sourced MSCs

ATOM™ Injection in Plain English

A direct, in-office injection of mesenchymal stem cells right where you need them.

ATOM™ Injection delivers mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) directly into a specific joint or area rather than into your bloodstream. The injection is performed in-office by a licensed clinician, typically with topical or local numbing applied first.

The MSCs are paired with biological scaffolding — a supportive matrix that helps cells stay at the target site rather than disperse quickly. The matrix is designed to provide a more favorable environment for cell residency in the area being targeted.

The MSCs come from donated umbilical cord tissue (Wharton's Jelly) processed at an FDA-registered U.S. lab. Same source, same third-party testing at 90%+ post-thaw viability, same standards as ATOM™ IV — just a different delivery method.

Members choose ATOM™ Injection when their focus is one specific area — typically a single knee, shoulder, hip, or other joint where targeted delivery makes more clinical sense than whole-body distribution.

Is ATOM™ Injection a Fit for You?

The injection is the right call when one specific area is the focus. Stem cell offerings are not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Outcomes vary by individual.

🎯

Single-Area Focus

Discomfort or mobility limitation in one specific joint — knee, shoulder, hip — where targeted delivery makes more sense than a systemic IV.

🏃

Sports Recovery

Active members exploring options for recovery from a specific injury or chronic problem area limiting their performance.

💧

After ATOM™ IV

Some members start with the IV for whole-body support, then add a targeted injection for an area that needs additional focus.

🦵

Joint-Specific Goals

Range-of-motion, function, or comfort goals tied to one joint — often after exploring other options that didn't work as hoped.

🔄

Re-Injection Candidates

Members who've had a previous injection elsewhere and are exploring an MSC-based option for the same or a different area.

Not Sure?

If you're unsure whether injection or IV is right, your provider will sort it out during the free consultation — and recommend either, both, or neither.

From First Call to Your Injection

The whole process is straightforward — most members are in and out in under an hour.

1

Free Consultation

A 15-minute conversation with our clinical team. We'll discuss the area you're focused on, your history with it, and whether ATOM™ Injection is the right protocol. Sometimes IV is better. Sometimes neither is. We'll tell you straight.

Schedule & Prepare

Book your appointment at the location that works for you. Prep is minimal — you'll get a short guide ahead of time. Most members don't need to change anything in their routine before the visit.

3

Your In-Office Injection

Arrive at the clinic, review consent and aftercare with your clinician, and get comfortable. Topical or local numbing is applied to the target area, then the ATOM™ product with scaffolding is injected directly into the site. The injection itself usually takes 15–30 minutes.

4

Aftercare & Follow-Up

Mild soreness at the injection site for 24–72 hours is common — usually managed with rest and ice if needed. We'll send aftercare instructions home with you and check in to plan any follow-up or future visits.

Which ATOM™ Protocol Fits You?

Three products, three different ways MSCs can be delivered. Your provider will discuss which is right for your situation during your consultation.

Systemic

ATOM™ IV

Whole-body infusion
  • Delivered intravenously (IV)
  • Whole-body distribution via bloodstream

  • Often combined with IV in a broader plan
Pluripotent

ATOM™ SSEC

Super Stress-Enduring Cells
  • Pluripotent cell type — distinct from standard MSCs

Frequently Asked

What exactly is ATOM™ Injection?
ATOM™ Injection is a targeted delivery of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) directly into a specific joint or area, paired with biological scaffolding to support cell residency at the target site. It's performed in-office by a licensed clinician using topical or local numbing.
How is this different from a steroid or hyaluronic acid (HA) injection?
Steroid injections and HA injections are different categories of joint injection — corticosteroids reduce inflammation, HA provides joint lubrication. ATOM™ Injection delivers mesenchymal stem cells paired with biological scaffolding into the area. They're not the same product and they work through different mechanisms. We'd recommend discussing the right option for your specific situation with your provider during the free consultation; we'll be straight with you about which approach is appropriate.
How is ATOM™ Injection different from ATOM™ IV?
ATOM™ Injection delivers cells directly into one specific area — targeted, localized. ATOM™ IV delivers cells through the bloodstream — systemic, whole-body. If your focus is one knee or one shoulder, the injection often makes more clinical sense. If you're looking for whole-body wellness support, the IV is more common. Many members do both, in sequence or combined.
What areas can be injected?
Common target areas include knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, ankle, foot, hand, wrist, and select spinal facet joints. Not every area is appropriate for targeted MSC injection — your provider will assess your specific area and tell you straight if it's a fit, or if a different approach (IV, or no MSC protocol at all) makes more sense.
Is the injection painful?
Most members report mild discomfort during the injection, similar to other joint injections. Topical or local numbing is typically used. Some pressure or brief pinching is normal. Post-procedure soreness at the injection site for 24–72 hours is common and usually resolves on its own — ice and rest usually help. As with any procedure, individual responses vary; rare reactions are possible.
How long does the procedure take?
The injection itself usually takes 15–30 minutes. Plan for about 60 minutes in the clinic total — that covers consent review, numbing, the procedure, and a brief monitoring period before you leave.
Can I get more than one area injected in a single visit?
Yes, some members do multi-area injections in a single visit. Whether it's appropriate for you depends on your situation and what your provider recommends. Pricing for multi-area or combination protocols will be reviewed during your consultation.
What's the recovery like?
Most members go home the same day and return to light activities the next day. Mild soreness or stiffness at the injection site for 24–72 hours is common — most members manage it with rest, ice, and avoiding high-impact activity on the area for a few days. Your provider will give you specific aftercare guidance based on the area injected.
When will I notice anything?
There's no universal timeline, and we won't pretend there is. Some members report noticing changes within weeks; some over months; some don't notice a clear difference. Outcomes vary significantly by individual, and we make no guarantees of any specific result. Stem cell offerings are not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Can I combine ATOM™ Injection with ATOM™ IV?
Yes — many members do. Some get both at the same visit, others stagger them across two visits. The right combination depends on your situation and what your provider recommends. Combination protocols may have different pricing than a single ATOM™ Injection; your consultation will walk through it.
What if I'm not a candidate?
If our clinical team determines ATOM™ Injection isn't a good fit for your area or situation, we'll say so — and try to point you toward more appropriate options (which may or may not include another ATOM™ protocol). The consultation is free, with no obligation. We'd rather be honest about fit than have someone spend money on something that isn't right for them.
